Artur Rutkevich, 1999 in Kaliningrad geboren, begann bereits im Alter von 16 Jahren am Musik-Kolleg von Rachmaninov Jazzmusik zu studieren. Nach dem Studium in Russland führte ihn die Reise nach Deutschland, wo er zunächst in Rostock und seit 2020 Jazz Saxophon am Jazz-Institut Berlin studierte.

Das Artur Rutkevich Quartett hat seine künstlerische Heimat in den vibrierenden Jazzclubs Berlins gefunden und spielt im Schlot, Zig Zag Club oder b-flat. Darüber hinaus treten die Mitglieder des Quartetts regelmäßig auf Jazzfestivals auf, nicht nur in ganz Europa, sondern gastieren in vielen Städten rund um die Welt und begeistern das Publikum mit ihren mitreißenden Arrangements.

Henry Hahnfeldt wurde in Mönchengladbach geboren und schloss sein Studium am Jazz-Institut Berlin ab. Mit seinen kraftvollen Beats und einem einzigartigen Rhythmusgefühl wechselt er leichthändig die Genres von Jazz, Rock und Metal und bringt den Raum zum Beben. Bekannt wurde er auch als Schlagzeuger von Brass Party Berlin.

Christian Müller ist ein in Berlin lebender Bassist und Komponist. Er studierte an der HfMT Hamburg und am Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Schon als Mitglied des Bundesjugendjazzorchesters (BuJazzO) begann er als Begleitmusiker zu arbeiten. Er spielte auf vielen Festivals, darunter u.a. das Elbjazz-Festival (DE), Jazz Baltica-Festival(DE) und das Uitmarkt Festival (NL).

David Weissglas, aus Stockholm, erhielt schon früh eine umfassende Jazzausbildung am Södra Latins Gymnasium und der Skurups Folkhögskola, bevor er ans Jazzinstitut Berlin kam. Er hat bereits mit einigen der besten skandinavischen Jazzmusiker zusammengearbeitet, etwa Fredrik Kronkvist, Jonas Kullhammar oder Jesper Bodilson. Inspiration zieht David aus den Werken klassischer Komponist·innen wie Lili Boulanger und Béla Bartók oder des Jazzpianisten Paul Bley. Sein "Klavierspiel sprüht vor Kreativität und Humor".

Artur Rutkevich, born in Kaliningrad in 1999, began studying jazz music at the Rachmaninov Music College at the age of 16. Henry Hahnfeldt was born in Mönchengladbach and graduated from the Jazz Institute Berlin. With his powerful beats and unique sense of rhythm, he effortlessly switches between jazz, rock and metal genres and makes the room shake. He also became known as the drummer for Brass Party Berlin.

Christian Müller is a bassist and composer living in Berlin. He studied at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre and at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He began working as an accompanist while still a member of the German National Youth Jazz Orchestra (BuJazzO). He has played at many festivals, including the Elbjazz Festival (Germany), Jazz Baltica Festival (Germany) and Uitmarkt Festival (Netherlands).

David Weissglas, from Stockholm, received comprehensive jazz training at Södra Latins Gymnasium and Skurups Folkhögskola before coming to the Jazz Institute Berlin. He has already worked with some of Scandinavia's best jazz musicians, including Fredrik Kronkvist, Jonas Kullhammar and Jesper Bodilson.
